Benemax worked with Parallax Capital Partners, a PEG located in Southern California, to consolidate benefits for 4 of its portfolio companies, located in MA, NJ, TX and CA respectively. The result: all 4 participating companies are delivering PPO coverage with 100% benefits in-network (less co-pays) for 25% less than the carrier's “off the shelf” price. Benemax has worked with The Argentum Group, a PEG located in New York City, to save that PEG more than $50,000 on its own health benefit plan and to save a 600 employee portfolio company more than $800,000 on its plan, all while improving benefits for both groups. UnitedHealthcare, one of our insurer partners, reports savings of just over 10% from this strategy at each of three PEGs, one with a portfolio of 17,500 employees, one with a portfolio of 6,000 employees and one with a portfolio of 1,300 employees.
